PUD No. 1 of Kitsap County hereby solicits SOQs from interested firms to provide professional engineering, architectural, hydrogeologic, electrical and telecommunications consulting and design services during 2023, 2024 and 2025. Typical services required include, but are not limited to the following, on an as needed basis: project management, engineering, architectural, hydrogeologic, electrical and telecommunications studies, analysis, reports, cost estimates, preparation of final plans and specifications, and providing engineering advice during construction. The types of design projects involve the construction of municipal water system improvements, water storage tanks, water transmission lines, water-supply wells and distribution systems, and development of monitoring wells and programs. For telecommunications, network system planning, route feasibility, network engineering, communication facilities, and project management, as well as regional telecommunications facilities and infrastructure. Consultant selection criteria is based on the following: (1) Recent specialized experience and technical competence of the firm in the planning, design, and construction management of the types of services and projects listed above; (2) Professional qualifications of staff to be assigned to District work; and (3) Cost control effectiveness and how it is applied to small projects. The SOQs will be kept on file and used to select qualified consultants for particular projects as needs arise. Minority and women owned firms are encouraged to submit statements.
