The project consists of work to be performed within 50 working days from Notice to Proceed and consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and other work or items incidental theretofore and as generally described as follows: The project will construct intersection and mid-block improvements including curb ramps, crosswalks, re-striping, and other safety improvements at six locations. The primary improvements at each location are as follows: oSite 1: Viking Avenue NW/NW Edvard Street-striping improvements oSite 2: NW Lindvig Way/ Fish Park Entrance ---curb ramp replacements at all four corners and striping improvements oSite 3: NE Hostmark Street/ Caldart Avenue NE - curb ramp replacement on the northeast corner and associated re-striping oSite 4: Caldart Avenue NE/NE Mesford Street-roadway removal and replacement oSite 5: Front Street -- install, raised concrete mid-block crosswalk and storm drain improvements oSite 6: Noll Road NE/NE Sunnymeade St - remove crosswalk and restoration The Engineer's construction estimate for this project is $180,000 and $210,000. A DBE mandatory goal of 11% has been established for the project. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in the form of a cash deposit, certified or cashier's check, postal money order, or surety bond, made payable to the City of Poulsbo, for a sum not less than five percent. (5%) of the amount of such bid, including sales tax. Should, the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory payment and performance bonds within the time stated in the Specifications, the bid deposit/bond shall be forfeited to the City of Poulsbo. The City reserves the right to reject, any and a ll bids or waive any informality in the bidding and make the award as deemed to be in the best interest of the City *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The Bidder further agrees that within 14 calendar days of the Notice of Award, he will meet with engineering personnel and begin work right away, and complete the construction within 50 working days of the Notice to Proceed.
