Plan deposit is refundable in accordance with the terms in the Information for Bidders to all submitting bids. Any bidder requiring documents to be shipped shall make arrangements with the printer and pay for all packaging and shipping costs. All bidders are urged to register to ensure receipt of all necessary information, including bid addenda. All bid addenda will be transmitted to registered plan holders via email and will be available at electronically Plan holders who have paid for hard copies of the bid documents will need to make the determination if hard copies of the addenda are required for their use, and coordinate directly with REV for hard copies of addeda to be issued. There will be no charge for registered plan holders to obtain hard copies of the bid adenda. Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by either a certified check drawn on a solvent bank with an office in the State of New York, or a bid bond in an amount of $1,000.00 and payable to the Locust Valley Water District. This amount shall be the measure of liquidated damage sustained by the District as a result of the failure, negligenece or refusal of the Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded to execute and deliver the Contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informalities and to accept such bidwhich, in the opinion of the Owner, is in the best interests of the Owner. Bidders must satisfy themselves by personal examination of the location of the proposed work and of the actual conditions and requirements of the work, and shall not at any time after the submission of the Proposal, dispute or complain of such estimate or assert there was any misunderstanding in regard to the depth or character of excavation to be made or the nature of the work to be done.
