The City is seeking bids from a qualified and licensed registered professional civil engineering and land surveying team to provide plans, specifications, and construction estimates for a paving and stormwater infrastructure project. This project shall include the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) design principles. This work includes providing land survey, mapping, geotechnical engineering, landscape architecture, and civil engineering design services in support of a street improvement project including West Commercial Street and North Huntington Street. The improvements will include the complete removal and replacement of existing street/parkway paving and sidewalk improvements. The proposed street improvements will extend from right-of-way to right-of-way within West Commercial and North Huntington Streets, but will also need to tie in to existing residential and commercial driveway approaches throughout the project area. This project shall include design principals for low impact development (LID) features and USEPAs "Managing Wet Weather with Green Infrastructure Municipal Handbook". Best management practices (BMPs) shall be included for all stormwater management design feature. This is for a professional engineering and land surveying services consultant. The consultant must have a team including licensed and registered State of California professional land surveyor (PLS) and professional civil engineer (PE) members. The selected consultant must have five (5) years of experience in preparing public street, sidewalk, landscaping, and stormwater plans and specifications.
