The McMichael Canadian Art Collection seeks a qualified vendor to replace existing cooling towers. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com Question Acceptance Deadline: 2022/11/17 12:00:00 PM EST The McMichael is looking for a vendor to supply and install a new cooling tower(s), including, but not limited to, the following details Recommendation: Thoroughly examine the existing system and its components, currently consisting of two open loop cooling towers, and recommend the best solution for replacement. The open loop system is to be replaced with a closed/evaporative loop system. McMichael will consider replacing with only one tower. New equipment shall match or exceed quality/performance of existing units. Installation: Obtain municipal permits if required, and close out permit with appropriate inspections upon project completion Installation to be completed while cooling towers are not required to be in use. Completion by April 30, 2023. Provide temporary cooling solution during installation period if required due to weather. Remove and dispose of existing equipment, in an environmentally safe manner. Install new concrete pad, if required. Supply and install new cooling tower unit(s) and all associated ductwork and pipework. Supply and install new Variable Frequency Drive (VFD). (Existing VFD to remain onsite for McMichael repurposing) Install required backflow prevention. Disconnect existing Siemens Apogee BMS control wiring from the existing units, and re-connect to new. Complete all commissioning and start-up of new unit(s). Coordinate with Siemens to ensure proper operation of unit(s) with BMS. Siemens fees to be invoiced directly to the McMichael. Provide minimum one year warranty on parts and labour Tender has been cancelled. If/when the project will be re-tendered is undetermined at this time.
