Site work for a water / sewer project in Cincinnati, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

This project will install a gravity sewer for the purpose of eliminating an existing pump station and associated force main. This project includes construction of approximately 1,095 linear feet of 12- inch diameter gravity sanitary sewer, and eight (8) new manholes. Exact location of job/project This project is located at the Mill Creek West Basin of the Central Basin in Green Township, Hamilton County, Ohio If a contract is awarded, it will be done so in accordance with the Contract Documents, including the method of award identified in Section H of the Instructions to Bidders in Section 00 21 13. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, or to advertise for new bids, if the best interests of the City will be promoted thereby. Bids must be submitted in accordance with the Contract Documents and must be accompanied by the 'Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond,' certified check, or letter of credit drawn on a solvent bank in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid amount, and in no event shall be less than five hundred dollars ($500.00). Bidder shall also submit a completed Addenda Acknowledgment Form with the bid. In addition to other documents, after the Bid Opening and upon notification, the apparent lowest and best bidder will need to obtain proof of Workers Compensation coverage and a certificate of insurance within ten (10) business days, naming the City as the primary insured and the Hamilton County, Ohio Board of County Commissioners as an additional insured. See the Contract Documents, including but not limited to the Modified General Conditions, for further certificate of insurance requirements and limits of liability. No bidder may withdraw its bid within sixty (60) days after the bid opening. Bids and award of contract may be held by the City for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of bid opening, for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the Bidder in accordance with the Contract Documents. This project will utilize Water Pollution Control Loan Fund (WPCLF) funding. As such, as a condition of receiving capitalization grants from U.S. EPA for the WPCLF and the Water Supply Revolving Loan Account (WSRLA), the Ohio EPA negotiates "fair share" Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) objectives with U.S. EPA. The current negotiated goals for construction related activities are 1.3% of all contracts to MBEs and 1.0% of all contracts to WBEs. Bidders are cautioned to read, understand, and complete the WPCLF forms in their entirety. Failure to do so may render the bid non-responsive. The City shall neither accept nor be liable for any increase in costs, or other expenses, delay, loss, or subsequent ineligibility to contract with the City, incurred by a contractor as a result of the City rejecting any proposed person, firm, partner, principal, affiliate, subcontractor or supplier that is debarred or suspended after the submission of a bid, proposal, or other communication leading to a contract, but before the approval or award of the contract. All bidders will also be subject to the provisions of the Contract Compliance Program regarding equal employment opportunity and to the project's applicable labor wage rate.
