The purpose of the following specification is to set forth requirements for revenue metering equipment for general use by the City. It is the intent of the specification to obtain for the City equipment of modern design, of proven performance, that is rugged, reliable, and capable of remaining in service for many years without maintenance. The City anticipates placing orders on an as-needed basis throughout the contract period. The materials to be furnished under this proposal shall be delivered at such time and in such quantities as called for by the City of Redding. The City reserves the right to purchase meters from another source if a specialty meter is required or if, in emergency situations, the selected bidder can not supply the necessary meters within the needed time frame. The cut-off date and time for receiving questions regarding this bid is 5:00 p.m. PST, on Thursday, November 17, 2022.All inquiries must be made in writing and may be submitted to the email address Amber Edenburn, Purchasing Officer aedenburn@cityofredding.org Delivery will only be accepted during the City's normally scheduled work hours, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Delivery will not be accepted on weekends or holidays. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive minor irregularities. City reserves the right to purchase from any available source if the successful Bidder for the annual purchase is not able to make immediate delivery. The Contract will be awarded within sixty (60) calendar days after the opening of bids. The City, however, reserves the right: (1) to award bids received on the basis of individual items, or groups of items, or on the entire list of items unless this right is denied by the Bidder in its bid; (2) to reject any or all bids, or any part thereof; (3) to waive any informality in bids; and (4) to accept the bid that is in the best interest of the City. The City's decision shall be final.
