Renovation of a civil project in Fort Plain, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Work for Contract No. 1A -- Electrical Construction will consist of furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor necessary for the completion of work associated with the replacement of the existing 350 KW diesel fueled generator and automatic transfer switch at the Wastewater Treatment Plant including disconnection of the existing generator from the existing electrical system, removal of the existing generator and ATS from the Administration Building, disposal of the existing generator and ATS, furnishing and installation of the new generator at the Process Control Building, furnishing and installation of new automatic transfer switches outside the Process Control Building and inside the Admin Building, respectively, installation of a new motor control center inside the Process Control Building for two of the blowers and the RAS pumps that will have motor starters with integral timers, breakers, HOA switches, and indicator lights for each motor, disconnection of the existing motor starters, indicator lights, HOA switches, and breakers from the buckets in MCC #1 for the RAS pumps and blowers, installation of new junction boxes at the existing buckets in MCC #1 for the RAS pumps and blowers and extension of the existing wiring and conduits from the junction boxes to the new MCC, installation of a new 400 A breaker on the main bus in MCC #1 that will provide normal power to the new MCC, connection of the new generator to the existing ATS in the Administrative Building, as well as all associated electrical work including wiring, conduits, excavation, backfill, grounding, bonding, panelboards, circuit breakers, transformers, switchboards, raceways, hangers and supports, enclosures, timers, control wiring, testing, and equipment commissioning, all as further detailed in the plans and specifications. This contract also includes removal and disposal of the existing 550 gallon buried fuel tank at the WWTP, furnishing and installation of new concrete pads for the generator, automatic transfer switch, and MCC, furnishing and installation of protective bollards around the new generator, temporary erosion and sediment controls, dust control, survey and stakeout, and all bypass pumping necessitated by work of this Contract, all as defined in greater detail in the contract documents. Work for Contract No. 1B -- Electrical Construction will consist of furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor necessary for the completion of work associated with the replacement of the existing 150 KW natural gas generator at the Fort Plain Pump Station including disconnection of the existing generator and automatic transfer switch from the existing electrical system, removal of the generator from the pump station building, disposal of the generator from the project site, installation of a new 200 KW natural gas powered generator outside the pump station building, installation of a new ATS inside the pump station building, installation of a new motor control center inside the pump station building for sewage pump no. 1, heater no. 21, the comminutor, and the sump pump that will have a motor starter, breaker, HOA switch, and indicator lights for the sewage pump motor and a subpanel for the heater, sump pump, and comminutor, installation of new motor starters and switches for the sump pump and comminutor, disconnection of the existing starters, switches, indicator lights, and breakers from the buckets in MCC #1 for the sewage pump, heater, comminutor, and sump pump, installation of new junction boxes at the existing buckets in MCC #1 and extension of the existing wiring and conduits from the junction box to the new MCC, installation of a new switchboard for distributing the power from the main breaker to the existing MCCs and the proposed ATS, as well as all associated electrical work including wiring, conduits, excavation, backfill, grounding, bonding, panelboards, circuit breakers, transformers, switchboards, raceways, hangers and supports, enclosures, timers, control wiring, testing, and equipment commissioning, all as further detailed in the plans and specifications. This contract also includes removal of the existing 550-gallon buried fuel tank at the pump station, furnishing and installation of gas piping from the meter to the generator and from the meter to the existing heater in the pump station building, furnishing and installation of an elevated concrete slab and adjacent stairs for the pump station generator, furnishing and installation of an extension of the existing chain link fence around the station (including removal of a portion of the existing fence), furnishing and installation of concrete pads for the proposed MCC, switchboard, and transfer switch, dust control, temporary erosion and sediment controls, survey and stakeout, and all bypass pumping necessitated by work of this Contract, all as defined in greater detail in the contract documents. Accompanying each bid must be a bid bond or certified check made payable to the order of the Montgomery County Sanitary District #1 in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bidder's maximum bid amount as a guarantee that if the contract is awarded to a bidder, said successful bidder will comply with the Notice to Bidders and the specification for the contract in accordance therewith. Said bid bond or certified check will be retained by the Montgomery County Sanitary District #1, and upon completion of the contract, in accordance with said specifications, the said bid bond or certified check will be returned to the bidder. On failure to comply with the Notice to Bidders and the specifications for said contract, the successful bidder shall forfeit the deposit as liquidated damages to the Montgomery County Sanitary District #1. Separate Performance and Payment Bonds, each equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the contract sum, will be required of the successful bidder. The bidder to whom the contract will be awarded shall execute the contract and furnish required sureties within ten (10) days after the date of Notice of Award. Failure to do so will result in Bidder's forfeit of contract work and bid security. No bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the date set for the opening thereof. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of bids, or any authorized postponement thereof. Montgomery County Sanitary District #1 reserves the right to waive any informalities in or to reject any or all bids submitted or to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder who in the District's judgment makes the most advantageous proposal to the District. The Work will be substantially completed on or before May 31, 2023 ; Final completion-June 30, 2023.
