Duffield Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements Phase 2. The improvements involve removal and replacement of existing blowers, blower motors and controls at the blower building, removal and replacement of existing roof and existing exhaust fan at the chlorination building, removal and replacement of existing suction pipes for the pumps at the main lift station, installation of an emergency power manual transfer switch and receptacle for emergency generator at the main lift station, removal and replacement of the sludge drying bed roof and repair of block walls on sludge drying bed bins for the Authoritys Duffield Wastewater Treatment Plant in Duffield, VA. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis. The Project is funded through the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidders date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. The procedure for withdrawal of bids shall be according to provision "(ii)" contained in 11-54, Code of Virginia (1950) as amended. If a contract is for one hundred twenty thousand dollars ($120,000) or more, or if the total value of all construction, removal, repair, or improvements undertaken by the bidder within any twelve-month period is seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($750,000) or more, the bidder is required under Title 54, Chapter 11, Code of Virginia (1950) as amended, to show evidence of being licensed as a "Class A Contractor." If a contract is seven thousand five hundred dollars ($7,500) or more, but less than one hundred twenty thousand dollars ($120,000), the bidder is required to show evidence of being licensed as a "Class B Contractor."
