The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP), Federal Medical Center, Butner NC, intends to make an award to single responsible entity forthe provision of supplying water heaters at the Federal Medical Center located at 7799 Old Oxford Rd, Butner NC 27509 ( FMC Butner). The Contractor will be required to provide materials only. Any deviations from this Statement of Work must be authorized via modification issued by the Contracting Officer. BACKGROUND: FMC Butner is a facility with a rated capacity of 848 inmates administrative facility within a secure perimeterfence, plus an adjacent Federal Correctional Institution I, Federal Correctional Institution II, Low Security Institution and Federal Prison Camp. The institution was activated in 2000. At this time 3 water heaters are in need of replacement in Cadre, Warehouse Mechanical and Mental Health SCOPE OF WORK: FMC Butner currently has both original and newerCemline steam fired water heaters. The water heaters that need to be replaced are located in Cadre, Facilities Mechanical Room, and Mental Health. In each of these areas one of the water heaters has already been changed out. The new water heaters must match the existingwaterheater for lead lag operation and control. The new water heaters must be Cemline semi-instantaneous water heaters, model V45SSH1036 for Facilities and Mental Health and ModelV45SSH824 for Cadre. These model water heaters will meet the demand requirements of these areas. These model water heaters also match the otherwater heaters in the FMC which allows us to stock common parts for repair.
