Furnishing of labor, material, and equipment for the 2023 Roadway Improvements-Dirt to Pave Project: Jewel Lane, Roy Street, and Holmes Lane, Williston, Barnwell County, SC. SCOPE OF WORK: This project involves installation of the drainage system for and paving of two projects in the city of Williston, in Barnwell County, South Carolina. The first project site is Jewel Lane, northwest of Williston, and the second is a combined road project of Roy Street and Holmes Lane in the city of Williston. Jewel Lane will include the installation of 28 feet of 18" reinforced concrete pipe (RCP), 70 feet of 24" RCP, and two SCDOT Type 9 catch basins. This project also involves the paving of Jewel Lane, which is approximately 1,177 feet long, plus a cul-de-sac with 25 ft radius. The pavement width is 25 ft (two 11 ft driving lanes with two 1.5 ft valley gutters). Tying the valley gutters to the catch basins will also be required. Paving of six (6) driveways is also included in this project (nominally 12 ft wide, 15 ft long with 10 ft radii, except as shown on the plans). This project also includes all grade work required to reach the required grade and excavation of the drainage outfall. In addition, approximately 750 ft of wood/wire fence will need to be relocated off of the road right-of-way. Installation of bi-directional raised pavement markers (yellow) and the painting of one STOP bar are included in this project. Traffic management during paving will be the responsibility of the CONTRACTOR. Signage, including construction signage, and erosion control protection will be performed by the CONTRACTOR.
