Provo River Trail Improvements including trail demolition, regrading, resurfacing, roadway undercrossing replacement, lighting, irrigation and landscaping Provo City Parks and Recreation is seeking qualified professional general contractors to provide construction services to renovate the Provo River Trail between University Parkway and 2230 N, Provo, UT, 84604 (Worksite) The PROVO RIVER TRAIL COTTONWOOD GREENWAY IMPROVEMENTS Project is for renovation of the Provo River Trail in-between University Parkway and 2230 N roadway in Provo, Utah as shown in the construction document bid set. Refer to the Project Bid Set for a more complete description of the project and proposed improvements. PROVO202320577 The Scope of Work is divided into three specific areas. Work activities in proximity to the Provo River requiring a stream alteration permit must be completed during months with low river water flows. Timing is estimated to be January to April 10th. Contractor to verify these conditions with river flow management entities. All other work may be completed outside of the low water flow months. Include complete costs of demolition of existing site to construct new under-crossing structure, trail alignment, irrigation and landscape as per plan set, including: a) Preserve benches, plaques, signage, light posts and any other material that are to be reused with in the project area. b) Demolition and debris removal of existing under-crossing, asphalt trail, fencing, trees, turf grass and concrete walkways that are designated to be removed within the area. Contractor to demolish entire existing under-crossing. c) Coffer dam construction and removal to route river flows around work area, or approved alternate. d) Provide Shoring plan before under-crossing demolition to preserve vehicular bridge integrity. e) Grub any weeds and remove from site. f) Removal of excess soil material with-in new trail alignment. Remove existing topsoil and reuse on site were needed. Dispose of all excess material. g) Remove all concrete and asphalt walkways in designated demolition area identified in plan set. Asphalt may be pulverized and used as base course material, as per plan set. h) Grade soil for trail and landscape subgrade as needed. i) Irrigation system is currently connected to the Cotton Tree Commercial Center to the west of project. Contractor responsible to disconnect irrigation from the Cottonwood Greenway as per plans and restore the Commercial Center irrigation system to function properly before project final completion to the satisfaction of the Cotton Tree Commercial Center representative and Project Owner.
