For Mifflin County Correctional Facility HVAC System Replacements. All bids shall conform to the scope included in the Project Manual. The County intends to award three contracts for such; HVAC Construction, Electrical Construction, and General Construction (which are subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act if over $25,000). The work is primarily HVAC trade related. EC and GC tasks result from the HVAC scope. Bidders can view the Project Manual at the reception counter of the Mifflin County Commissioners Office or through various construction plan services. Cost estimates are as follows: Contract 1 - HVAC Construction: 1,850,000 Contract 2 - Electrical Construction $85,000 Contract 3 - General Construction: $45,000 All prospective bidders are advised to review the existing facility during County business hours via appointment by contacting the Mifflin County Maintenance Department at (717) 242-0893. Please note that all prospective Bidders must register directly with Mifflin County as indicated in the Ad. In doing so, the Project Manual (which includes Bid Forms) will be provided. Proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, Trust Company Treasurer's Check or Certified Check made payable to Mifflin County in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid proposal. No Bidder may withdraw a bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Mifflin County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any bids, or to waive any informality in the bid process when it is in the best interest of Mifflin County and may reject the bid of any bidder who they determine is not qualified to perform the Contract.
