Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Cambridge, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 22,167,197-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
The construction will include siteworks including structural fill or other engineered soil improvements, grading, servicing, paving, landscaping. Building construction will include reinforce concrete, structural steel, and cross laminated timber decking (in select locations). Most of the exterior cladding is masonry veneer with a modest amount of architectural precast veneer. (no industrial tilt up precast panels). The roofing is ballasted PV roof top panel array. A geothermal system is being implemented on this building in conjunction with other mechanical and electrical systems. The interior fit up is proposed at an adequate level to support an education and amenity space program. The project proposed at Conestoga College - Reuter Drive Campus entails the construction of the second phase buildings for trades and apprenticeships. This includes a gross floor area of 20,594 m2 inclusive of multiple academic workshops, labs, recreation centres, and facilities, with a construction budget of $130,000,000.
