The Grand River Conservation Authority is currently in the process of finding suitable contractors for the planting of approximately 90,000 seedling trees and 7,000 hardwood saplings and/or potted conifers for the spring of 2023. The planting sites are spread throughout the Grand River watershed and vary in size from 50 to 10,000 trees depending on the type of project. The sites include riparian buffers, windbreaks, block plantings etc. with the majority of the trees being planted on private rural properties.
