The Town of Pacolet is requesting qualifications of a firm to provide a townwide Master Plan of Pacolet. There hasn't been any type of plan completed in more than 7 years. This plan would be in conjunction with creating a new Comprehensive Plan which will also be posted through a similar process. The Town of Pacolet with its proximity to Spartanburg and Greenville, along the Pacolet River, and powered in part by Lockhart Power, a 100% green energy source, is poised for new growth and investment. The objective of this project is to create a high-quality, viable master plan for the Town of Pacolet that is in sufficient detail to provide a basis for formulating comprehensive plan and zoning designations, development code regulations, design guidelines and eventual development. The Town and expects that the master plan will provide for a pedestrian-friendly environment, include a mix of housing types and land uses, and will respond to proximity of surrounding established neighborhoods. It is expected that a multi-generational outlook will be taken during the design process. The Town also expects that this project will be the highest quality in every aspect - from engaging the public to design, artistic outputs and final reports. The Town of Pacolet is seeking a firm to perform a Master Plan for the town.
