Demolition and site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Cleveland, Ohio. Completed plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
This project has been officially awarded to Baumann Enterprises Inc. Cleveland Metroparks exists as a separate political subdivision of the State of Ohio and is not part of any local or other political subdivision. Cleveland Metroparks is comprised of over 24,000 acres, 18 reservations, 8 golf courses and Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. The Park District is governed by Cleveland Metroparks Board of Park Commissioners, represented by three citizens who serve three-year, staggered terms without compensation. Board members are appointed by the Presiding Judge of Probate Court of Cuyahoga County, the Honorable Anthony J. Russo, and members currently include Debra K. Berry, Bruce G. Rinker and Dan T. Moore a certified check, cashier's check or money order, drawn on a solvent bank or savings and loan association in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, and made payable to Cleveland Metroparks, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into, its performance properly secured and shall be in a form the same or similar to the form included in the bid documents. Bids submitted in excess of $10,000 without proper bonding requirements will be found non-responsive and disqualified from consideration. In the event that the bidder cannot satisfy the bid after Cleveland Metroparks awards the bid, the award will be given to the next qualified successive bidder as identified by Cleveland Metroparks and the difference in cost and all related costs to the difference will be assumed by the original bidder and/or its surety. The deposit or bond of the successful bidder will be retained until the contract is properly executed and delivered. Bid guaranties of all unsuccessful bidders will be held until a proper contract is entered into or until all bids are rejected, as the case may be, and will be returned immediately thereafter. (Base Bid $20,000.00 Owners Allowance = Total Base Bid) November 21, 2022 Written questions due Written questions must be submitted Questions received shall be answered by Cleveland Metroparks by Wednesday, November 23, 2022 by 5:00 p.m. (EST),. Cleveland Metroparks will not be responsible for any oral instructions or information, or any information provided in any manner other than or at the Pre-Bid Conference. The successful bidder shall be required to file, at the time a contract is entered into, a Performance and Labor and Materialman Bond written on an acceptable surety company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio and in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. In the performance of all contracts, contractors will comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to Equal Employment Opportunities. Cleveland Metroparks is a governmental agency exempt from all local, state and federal taxes. No bid may be withdrawn for at least sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. Cleveland Metroparks reserves the right to reject any or all bids and parts of any and all bids and may waive technicalities, which are not substantive components of the bid as determined solely by Cleveland For all procurement-related questions, please contact Charlie Rosol, Director of Procurement at 216-635- 3225 or ecr@clevelandmetroparks.com . For any questions relating to the Bid or Project Liquidated Damages. If the time for Substantial Completion is exceeded, then the successful bidder shall pay to Cleveland Metroparks the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per day for liquidated damages, and not as a penalty, it being understood and acknowledged that actual damages would be difficult to ascertain with precision in any such case and that the amount of such liquidated damages bear a reasonable relationship to the actual damages that may be projected. Cleveland Metroparks shall have the right to deduct the liquidated damages from any amount due and owing to the successful bidder under the contrat The Board reserves the right to accept or reject all bids.
