The Town of Three Rivers has given approval for the installation of a new standby emergency generator to be installed at the existing Cavendish Farms Wellness Centre. The Town of Three Rivers has already placed the order for the new generator and the two (2) automatic transfer switches required. The transfer switches are due to arrive on site in November 2022 and the generator is expected to be delivered to site in late winter or early spring of 2023. The Scope of Work in this Tender involves the necessary reconfiguration of the existing electrical service to accommodate the two (2) new transfer switches, the construction of the necessary concrete pad for the generator and the required trenching electrical and civil works related to the generator installation. The work also includes the necessary construction of an addition / expansion of the existing main electrical room to accommodate the new transfer switches. This tender also includes providing assistance to the generator supplier, Cummins Canada, during the onsite testing and commissioning of the generator and to ensure all electrical connections have been properly made and are to the satisfaction of the generator supplier. In addition, this contractor shall provide adequate training on the operation and care of the system to the community maintenance and recreational staff. Training and operation of the generator itself will be provided by the generator supplier. Work Included: 1. All civil work required for the construction of the new concrete pad including all necessary excavation conduit installation, backfilling for the generator pad as well as the required electrical trenching between the generator and the existing building. 2. Reconfiguration of the existing electrical services to accommodate the installation of the new transfers switches. 3. Necessary construction of the new 1-hour fire rated addition to the existing main electrical room to accommodate the installation of the new automatic transfer switches. 4. Installation of the two (2) automatic transfer switches (supplied by others) as described and noted on the tender drawings. 5. Training on the operation of the system for Town of Three River / Cavendish Wellness Centre Staff. 6. Preparation of As-Built drawings for the installed system.
