The Monroe County Board of Commissioners is hereby requesting sealed proposals for Grounds-Keeping at Monroe County Courthouse Square and Monroe County Administration Building. If you have any questions, please contact Ray White at (478) 994-7298 or Phyllis Durham at (478) 994-7008. Monroe County reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Requirements will be as follows: o Must have valid Pesticides Contractors License or contract out with a company/person(s) that have valid Pesticides Contractors License o Must submit at least three recent references (name, address, and phone numbers) o Must submit at least two current Commercial Projects (name, address, and phone numbers) o Must provide proof of Liability and Workman's Compensation Insurance Terms of the Contract will be as follows: o Proposal shall reflect a monthly fee which includes all labor, pine straw, herbi- cides, flowers, and fertilizer to be used at both sites. Contractor will be paid the same amount each month, therefore, contractor should prorate all materials and labor into a monthly fee. o Contract will be for one (1) year. o The County reserves the right to terminate the contract at any time if the terms of the contract are not honored or requirements are not completed to the County's satisfaction. LANDSCAPING GUIDELINES The following guidelines should be used when submitting your proposal for annual contract: 1 Mowing all turf area weekly during growing season (April-October) and as needed during Winter months to maintain an attractive turf. 2 Trimming out (weed-eating) all turf areas on same interval 3 Edging all walks, curbs, beds, etc. on the same interval 4 Blow off all hard surfaces on same interval and to include several times during the Winter season when needed 5 Removing all fallen limbs, trash and weeds on same interval 6 Pruning all shrubs as needed, according to stan- dards 7 Fertilize turf three (3) times and shrubs twice a year 8 Apply pre-emergence her- bicide and post herbicide twice a year 9 Remove or mulch leaves as needed 10 Supply and install pine straw mulch once per year in all beds (mulching material shall be applied at a thickness of three (3) inches 11 Vendors will be responsible for disposing of clipping, leaves, limbs, and debris from the county property
