A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The work includes all labor, material (with the exception of District provided material as specified herein), supervision and equipment necessary to complete the following: Installation of approximately 1,510 LF of 8-inch ductile iron pipe, fittings, valves, pressure reducing station, backfill, pavement restoration, and associated work. Each bidder must have proper licenses and registrations to complete this work in accordance with the California Business and Professions Code and the California Labor Code. The proposal shall be accompanied by a proposal guaranty bond in the sum of at least 10% of the total amount of the proposal, or alternatively by a certified or cashier's check payable to the District in the sum of at least 10% of the total amount of the proposal. Per California Civil Code Section 9550, a payment bond in the amount of 100% of the bid total will be required from the successful bidder for bids exceeding $25,000. The bond must be provided within 10 calendar days from notice of award and prior to the performance of any work. A separate performance bond in the amount of 100% of the bid total will be required from the successful bidder. A contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 of the Labor Code. It is not a violation of this section for an unregistered contractor to submit a bid that is authorized by Section 7029.1 of the Business and Professions Code or by Section 10164 or 20103.5 of the Public Contract Code, provided the contractor is registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded.
