Lawton Community Schools is soliciting quotations for Building Security System. Lawton Community Schools has selected a preferred design that includes installation of a classroom door barrier system, , an integrated wireless lock down warning system that activates visual alerts in each classroom, and wireless lighting and security enabling software system, window and door protective covering, and full implementation with training for all students and staff. While we understand all bidders may not be able to bid the exact design, the districts preferred design or close facsimile will be given full consideration. Lawton Community Schools is requesting a quotation for full installation of the integrated system in all of its 3 school buildings consisting of Lawton Elementary, Lawton Middle School, Lawton High School All bidders submitting a response to this RFQ must do so by completing and submitting both the Vendor Profile form found in Appendix A and the Pricing Summary sheet found in Appendix B of this document. Additional vendor information is welcome and may be included along with the completed Vendor Profile form. All bidders should include a brief written statement, which summarizes their response. It should include any pertinent information which was not specifically asked for in other parts of this document, but which the bidder wishes us to know. The proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond by an approved surety company in the amount of five percent (5%) of the proposal submitted. Proposals shall remain firm for a period of forty-five (45) days after official opening of bids. All proposals shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship (or lack of a relationship) that exists between the Owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Board of Education of the Lawton Community Schools or the Superintendent of the School District. The District shall not accept a bid that does not include a sworn and notarized disclosure statement. The bid shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement pertaining to the IRAN ECONOMIC SANCTIONS ACT compliance of Michigan Public Act NO.512 of 2012. Lawton Community Schools may make such investigations as deemed necessary to determine the ability of the bidder to supply the items and the bidder shall furnish to Lawton Community Schools all such information and data for this purpose as Lawton Community Schools may request. Lawton Community Schools reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by or investigations of such bidder fail to satisfy Lawton Community Schools that such bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the contract and to complete the orders contemplated therein. In determining which bid is the lowest responsible bid, the Board, in its discretion, may take into consideration not only the amount of the bid, but the following criteria as it deems appropriate and may give such weight thereto as it deems appropriate.
