Proposed Improvement: Improvement Details: This Project is to add ADA compliant sidewalks along Hwy 42, from Columbia Avenue to the School of the Osage Drive. This project is part of the City's long-term goal to provide sidewalks throughout the city to encourage walking and safety. The purpose of this project is to construct approximately 4,500 linear feet of sidewalk, where none currently exists. This project will provide a much-needed ADA compliant pedestrian facility for the many residents and school children in this area. Specifically, this project will connect sidewalks from residential neighborhoods along Columbia Avenue to the School of the Osage Middle School, Osage Upper Elementary School, and the Osage High School. The goal of this project is to encourage walking and safety between the numerous activity centers and schools in the area. The specific scope of project consists of linear grading, new ADA compliant sidewalks where none currently exist, ADA compliant concrete entrances, restoration, and construction traffic control.
