This project is part of $7 billion federal initiative to launch seven Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs (H2Hubs) across the nation and accelerate the commercial-scale deployment of low-cost, clean hydrogen. A hydrogen hub is a network of producers, users, distributors and stakeholders within the hydrogen ecosystem. As of September 19, 2024, this project is under negotiation with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). The MACH2 hub consists of multiple projects led by different companies and the companies themselves are responsible for selecting their engineers and contractors - the hub does not dictate which companies should be used by the sub-recipients.
