For the construction of the DEP/SRWMD WWTF Expansion & Infiltrative Wetlands project The project area is located at 25555 NW 158th Avenue in High Springs, Alachua County, Florida. The Project includes the following Work: Constructing an expansion of the High Springs Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) to increase its treatment and disposal capacity from 0.24 MGD to 0.48 MGD. Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment to install a concrete influent structure with static screen and aerated grit chamber; a second 0.24 MGD package plant within a prestressed concrete tank; rehabilitation of the existing 0.24 MGD package plant; associated blowers, pumps, and mixers; a metal building equipment shelter; yard piping; sitework; subsurface pressure grouting; and electrical/instrumentation. Project also involves constructing approximately 11 acres of lined and unlined infiltrative wetlands (Phase 1), including piping, control, structures, and wetland plantings. The addition of approximately 11 acres of lined and unlined infiltrative wetlands (Phase 2) is included as Additive Alternate A. Bid security must be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. To be considered qualified, Bidder must be licensed to engage in the business of contracting in the State of Florida by the Construction Industry Licensing Board and shall have been regularly engaged in the construction of projects involving installation of piping systems and process equipment at municipal water/wastewater treatment plants for a minimum of five (5) consecutive years. Bidder shall have completed at least three (3) water/wastewater treatment plant projects, each having a minimum contract value of $2,500,000, as Prime Contractor or Primary Subcontractor, within the past ten (10) years. Bidder shall also have completed at least one (1) project involving the construction of a package wastewater treatment unit and one (1) project involving the installation of headworks equipment (including screening and grit removal) within the past ten (10) years.
