CAPITAL PROJECT NO. CP8198 Bid documents are not required to have original signatures in the sealed bid package but all forms must be completed. Low bidder shall provide original signatures pri - or to Contract Execution. The work consists of the following: Construction of a new gravity sew - er piping systems for the proposed Downtown Central Islip Revitaliza - tion Project. The work shall include construction of a new 24-inch diam - eter gravity sewer piping system along Carleton Avenue in Central Islip, NY, 8-inch diameter gravity sewer laterals onto adjacent side streets and 6-inch house connec - tion laterals from the sewer main to the property line where it will be left capped for future connection to buildings under separate private contracts. This Project will be partially funded with Federal funds from the United States Department of Commerce, Economic Development Adminis - tration and DRI Funding from the New York State Department of State therefore is subject to the State and Federal laws and regulations associ - ated with these programs. A maxi - mum of 6.9% of the twelve percent (12%) MBE goal will be required for the WBE goal. This project includes both State and Federal prevailing wages. If Federal Davis-Bacon wage rates differ from the New York State prevailing wage rates, then the higher of the two rates shall be paid. Note: This Project is to be bid as a single prime project. Bids for this contract shall be sub - mitted in a separate sealed enve - lope with the name of the contract clearly noted on the outside of the envelope. Bids shall be accompa - nied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total Base Bid, made payable to the Suffolk County Comptroller. This certified check or bid bond will be held as a guarantee that in the event the bid is accepted and contract awarded to the Bidder, the contract will be duly executed and properly secured. E-MAILED BIDS WILL BE CONSID - ERED UNRESPONSIVE. The bids shall be delivered in person, by the Bidder or his agent, at the time and place stated. NOTE: Bid Results shall be pro - vided to Bidders submitting bids. .Bid Results will not be given out over the telephone. If you are not in attendance at the bid opening, please be patient while we process the bid results. Results will typically be provided within 48 hours after the bid opening. Please note that all construction projects over $250,000 advertised afterJuly 17, 2008 will be subject to training requirements pursuant to Section 220-h ofthe NYS Labor Law.
