Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Flatwoods, Kentucky. Working plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and road / highway.
As of December 14, 2022, bids received were rejected. No definite date for the rebid. The City of Flatwoods will be receiving sealed bids for a sidewalk project. The responsible contractor(s) must provide a 5% Bid Bond or Certified Check for 5% of the project. There will be a DBE Goal of 5% and the winning contractor shall supply the DBE participation plan to the City prior to award. The City of Flatwoods Sidewalk Project shall follow the Kentucky Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction-current edition. All prime contractors and DBE subcontractors shall be prequalified with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet in their applicable categories of work at the time of the bid opening. The project consists of: construct a new sidewalk along the south side of KY 750 (Powell Lane) from approximate MP 1.65 to 2.47. Work includes installation of pedestrian crosswalks and curb ramps, curb, and gutter, and retaining walls.
