Site work and new construction of a fitness / recreation center in Vanceburg, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the construction of a fitness / recreation center; and for site work for a fitness / recreation center.

As of February 14, 2024, per owner this project is complete. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference. Services provided by the architectural/engineering firm will be relating to the planning, design, and possible installation of a new recreational facility for the Lewis County. Duties will include preparation of detailed preliminary cost estimates to keep the project within budget, as well as design, obtaining state approvals, developing construction contracts and bid packages, as well as supervision of the construction and project closeout. Statements of Qualifications will be evaluated and ranked and should include the following information: Experience or technical expertise of the firm with regard to construction projects of a similar nature. Outline the experience and qualifications of the firm and the individual(s) to be assigned to the project. Past record of performance on contracts with similar projects including quality of work and timeliness. Describe past record of performance with the locality, and other clients. Include the name and number of a contact person for each referenced project. Capacity of the firm to work within the engineering budget as may be funded while taking into consideration the current and planned workload of the firm. Outline the firms capacity for performance. Describe the firms time frame for services to be provided and staffing considerations such as availability, workload, etc. Time frame shall include but not limited to: Design State Permit Approvals Contract/Bid Package Development Bidding Inspection Services Project Closeout Proximity and accessibility of the firm to the project area. State the base of operation for the firm and briefly analyze accessibility to the locality. The firm shall also address willingness to work within the engineering budget as funded. Familiarity with the locality and project requirements. Describe the degree of familiarity with locality and project requirements. Experience with CDBG, ARC, USDA RD, KIA, and other Kentucky funding sources. Statements of Qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of written materials; therefore it is not necessary that a representative of the firm attend the evaluation meeting. The County reserves the right to interview the top three highest ranked firms, at the Countys discretion. The firm(s) judged most qualified may be asked to prepare a final proposal which will include fees for said services. The County reserves the right to negotiate a contract with the highest ranked firm; if the Countyy is unable to negotiate a satisfactory agreement, the second ranked firm will be contacted. Once a firm has been selected, all unsuccessful firms will be promptly notified. The Lewis County Fiscal Court will adhere to the provision of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and Section 3 of Section 109 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 in the implementation of this project. No person shall be excluded from participation in, denied benefits of, or subjected to discrimination in the implementation of this project on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, or handicapped status. All work to be undertaken as a part of this proposed program/project must be undertaken in accordance with 24CFR, Par 570; 24 CFR, Park 58; and other applicable State and Federal Requirements.
