As of April 27, 2023, construction has been completed, however, an exact timeline for construction has not been confirmed. Sealed bids are invited for the 340 Whittemore Hall Renovation at Virginia Tech, located in Blacksburg, VA. This is an interior renovation that encompasses approximately 2,530 square feet of administrative space on the third floor of Whittemore Hall, located at 1185 Perry St, Blacksburg, VA 24060. The project includes selective demolition and reconfiguration of the area using metal stud partitions, doors, and windows, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and new interior finishes. A Bid Bond and Contract Security will be required of all bidders regardless of bid amount. Procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawal of bids and other pertinent information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders, which is part of the Invitation for Bids. Withdrawal due to error in bid shall be permitted in accord with Section 9 of the Instructions to Bidders and 2.2-4330, Code of Virginia. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The cutoff date for pre-bid questions will be 2:00 PM, EST on November 22, 2022. *Information regarding subcontractor bidding has not been disclosed to the content management team at this time. Interested subcontractors should contact the general contractor directly for more information.
