Renovation of a medical facility in Sacramento, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
Subject to conditions prescribed by the UC Davis Health (University), responses to the University's or Design-Builder's prequalification documents are sought from Proposers for the following Bid Package for the following Project: 48X Complex (Formerly SASC) The University's primary objective in utilizing the Progressive Design-Build approach for the project is to bring the best available integrated design expertise and construction experience to this Project. The University and Design Builder have determined that Proposers who submit proposals on this bid package must be prequalified and are subject to the prequalification and Request for Proposal process. Prequalified Proposers will be required to have a licensed California Professional Engineer and following California contractor's license(s): DPR also intends to submit a bid to self-perform the work of BP #10 - General Carpentry. Therefore, the University is responsible for receiving and reviewing all prequalification's and proposals for this Bid Package in accordance with the Progressive Design-Build contract. This prequalification is for Phase 2 Preconstruction Services and Phase 3 Construction. The successful Proposer will enter into a subcontract with the Design-Builder for the project and will assume the role of Design-Assist subcontractor to provide design, engineering, and construction services. The UC Davis Health 48X Complex will be constructed via Progressive Design-Build method. The 48X Complex project will construct approximately 266,000 gross square feet of California Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) Level 3 space. This project is envisioned to support a preliminary program of 14 operating rooms, 2 additional procedure rooms, 58 pre-and post-operative recovery bays and 14 single occupant 23-hour stay patient observation rooms and an Outpatient Clinical Program consisting of exam and/or treatment rooms with associated support. The building will also include public spaces, clinical support operations space (sterilization, retail pharmacy, etc.), imaging space, physical therapy space as well as administration support space to facilitate patient support and education. Work in this bid package includes custom & modular casework, doors-frames-hardware, installation of Owner furnished medical equipment, signage, overhead Unistrut supports, site furnishings, Division 10 specialties, loading dock equipment, and food service equipment. General Building Contractor: B All work included in this bid package will be performed under the authority and jurisdiction of HCAI Level 3. General Carpentry scopes of work: Custom Casework $600,000 Modular Casework $2,500,000 Doors-Frames-Hardware $4,000,000 Installation of Owner Furnished Medical Equipment $1,000,000 Signage $575,000 Overhead Unistrut Support $425,000 Site Furnishings $300,000 Division 10 Specialties $500,000 Loading Dock Equipment $100,000 Food Service Equipment $300,000 $10,300,000 Total Value Prequalification documents will be available beginning November 22, 2022, by request via email to Summer Howard, sahoward@ucdavis.edu. Written notice regarding shortlist of prequalified firms will be released December 2022. Level II Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available to the shortlist of prequalified firms no later than December 2022 Level II Proposals will be received on TBD. Proposals evaluated and the apparent low cost per point proposal determined: TBD The University or Design-Builder reserves the right to reject any or all responses to the Prequalification Questionnaire and any or all proposals and to waive non-material irregularities in any response received. The successful Prequalified Proposer shall pay all persons providing construction services and/or any labor on site, including any University location, no less than the UC Fair Wage (defined as $15 per hour as of 10/1/17) and shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local working condition requirements.
