The Long Island State Veterans Home is soliciting proposals for supplemental snow removal services. The Home will be performing the on-site snow removal, however in the event of a major storm or when additional services are needed, the Contractor will be notified. The Home may need snow plowing only or salt application only or both snow plowing and salt application, as dictated by the specific storm conditions or situation and at the discretion of the Home. The Home requires a one (1) hour response time to be onsite to begin snowplowing or salt spreading services. Award will be based on lowest total complete pricing. In compliance with the Procurement Lobbying Act signed into law by Governor Pataki in August, 2005, and effective January 1, 2006, permissible contact by an Offeror in relation to any specific procurement in excess of $15,000 should be made only with authorized personnel of the Home who are designated as the contact person(s) in the bid specifications.
