Meridian Water Campus - Greenfield Groundwater Treatment Plant The Work generally includes the construction of a greenfield groundwater treatment plant, including a 1.5-million-gallon potable water storage tank, a chemical facility, and a process building. Also included are associated site work, yard piping, and a diesel generator (backup power supply). Owner is exempt from Colorado state sales and use taxes on materials and equipment to be incorporated in the Work; Exemption No. 98-03100-0000. Said taxes shall not be included in the Bid. Refer to Paragraph 7.09 of the Supplementary Conditions for additional information. The completed Work will provide the Owner with a water treatment facility capable of treating groundwater, storing finished water, and storing WISE water for use in Owner's system. The Meridian Water Campus (MWC) will treat groundwater with chloramine disinfection and with pyrolusite filtration to remove iron and manganese. The major items of Work for the project include the construction of the following: 1. Potable water storage tank with 1.5 million gallon capacity including vault housing valves and flowmeters. 2. Process Facility including pyrolusite pressure vessel filtration and a potable water pumping station. The Process Facility will also house a wet lab, office spaces, and a SCADA operations control room. 3. Chemical storage and feed building with buried chlorine contactor pipeline. 4. Access road and site security features. 5. Wiring to local control panels within the new Meridian Water Campus and a fiber optic connection to the Tech Center Maintenance Center (TCM) (12111 East Belford Avenue, Englewood, CO 80112). 6. The Work will include obtaining all necessary permits. This may include a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) permit if a crane, concrete pump or any other tall construction equipment is utilized because the Meridian Water Campus project site is under the flight path for Centennial Airport. The Contractor will be responsible for the permit and Owner will support the coordination as required. Questions received after November 18, 2022 may not be answered.
