Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

In general, this work consists of: Cleaning and preparation of sanitary sewer manholes prior to rehabilitation, including removing existing liners, debris, existing utility cables etc. Repair of sanitary sewer manholes including cementitious lining, removing and replacing frame and cover, raising sanitary sewer manholes, repair of bench and invert, grouting exterior of manhole frames, and removing and relocating pipe and/or cable through sanitary sewer manholes. Contractor shall initiate coordination with pipe and/or cable owner within 30 days of notice to proceed and provide proof of ongoing communication throughout the project at a frequency of at least once every 30 days until completed. Bypass pumping, as directed by Engineer, to properly rehabilitate any manholes where a flow through bridge or plug is not a viable option. The cost for flow through bridges or plugs shall be included in other work items. Coordinating with District Operations Staff and Engineer to reduce and maintain flow from lift stations into sanitary sewer manholes in order for rehabilitation work to be performed. Site restoration including removing and replacing concrete sidewalks and pavement including driveways, roadways, curb, gutter, damaged turf, plants, shrubs, fences, and trees, as required. Implementation and maintenance of traffic control when necessary or required. Contractor to note that these plans may not include all necessary Traffic Control Plans. Contractor to ensure traffic control is executed as necessary to facilitate work. Performing trench safety as required per section 01561. Roll call will happen at the beginning of the meeting and as people join the meeting. To document attendees, please be prepared to verbally state and if possible, type in the following information into the Microsoft Teams chat window: your name, company name, email, and phone number. No person may represent more than one bidder at the pre-bid conference. If a person claims to represent more than one bidder at the pre-bid conference, the bid of each bidder so represented will be returned unopened. Each bid shall be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of total base bid. If certified or cashier's check is used as bid security, check must be drawn on a responsible bank located in the State of Texas and made payable to Owner only. Attention: Provisions of Texas Ethics Commission Form 1295 ("TEC Form 1295") by Bidders: Effective January 1, 2016, pursuant to Texas Government Code 2252.908 (the "Interested Party Disclosure Act" or the "Act"), the District may not award the contract to a bidder unless the bidder has provided to the District a completed, signed and notarized TEC Form 1295 which has been assigned a certificate number by the Texas Ethics Commission (the "TEC"). The TEC Form 1295 may accompany the bid or may be submitted separately but must be provided to the District prior to the award of the contract. Neither the District nor its consultants have the ability to verify the information included in a TEC Form 1295, and neither have an obligation nor undertake responsibility for advising any bidder with respect to the proper completion of the TEC Form 1295. This requirement does not apply if the bidder qualifies for an exception under Texas Government code 2252.908.
