WSA is undertaking rehabilitation work on Ridge Creek, a tributary to the Qu Appelle River, located approximately 12 km north of Tugaske, SK. The proposed work for 2023 is associated with erosion control and stabilization of a portion of Ridge Creek. The work considered for this RFQ is for the supply of approximately 4000 tonnes of rock riprap and granular material to the four riffle locations described in this RFQ. The rehabilitation area encompasses approximately two kilometers of Ridge Creek, beginning at the northern extent of NE16-23-03-W3M and continuing downstream to the Qu Appelle River in NE21-23-03-W3M. WSA is a Treasury Board Crown corporation within the meaning of The Crown Corporations Act, 1993 (Saskatchewan) that is governed by The Water Security Agency Act (Saskatchewan). WSA is responsible for water management in the Province of Saskatchewan, which includes managing the Province water supply, protecting water quality, ensuring safe drinking water and the treatment of wastewater, reducing flood and drought damage, protecting aquatic habitat, and managing 72 dams and related supply channels.
