One or more respondents will be selected to assist the Sanitation Division's Engineering Unit and CFMU in the process of rehabbing, upgrading, and modernizing various facilities. This work includes a range of design work including but not limited to building architectural design, structural, mechanical, civil, electrical, and geotechnical investigations, design and preparation of project specifications and capital program planning. Selected respondents will assist the Sanitation Engineering Division to develop and establish project priorities and scope of work documents. Some of these projects such as the Area 6 Electrical System Rehab and Electric Boiler are already in the capital program and are moving into the design process. Projects that are in the concept development phase include: Area 5 Sanitation Service Building Improvements Area 5 Sanitation Yard Improvements Area 6 Sanitation Service Building Electrical System Rehab and Electric Boiler 26th and Glenwood Site Improvements and Electrical System Rehab 6th Highway Yard Building Feasibility Assessment Streets Lighting Facility Feasibility Assessment Harrowgate Site Development and Realignment of Transportation Division Facilities Site Selection for New Street Cleaning Facility Sanitation Area 1 Facility Relocation Planning Salt Structure Rehab and Brine Facility Development at Various Sites Upgrading Stormwater Management Infrastructure for Various Sites Services that may be requested as needed include the following for other Sanitation Facilities: Evaluate energy efficiency improvements HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing improvements Evaluate lighting improvements (including yard lighting) Evaluate structural issues and repairs due to settlement Building assessments for window replacements Evaluation of roof replacement projects Review in-house design projects including plans, specs, and estimates Full project design including plans, specs, and estimates L&I and zoning permit support Geotechnical investigations Utility locating services The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
