Site work and paving for a civil project in Sumner, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a proposal guarantee (certified or cashiers check or approved bond) payable to the City of Sumner in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal price. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish the satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Sumner. The City of Sumner reserves the right to waive informalities in the bidding, accept a Proposal of the lowest responsible Bidder, reject any or all Bids, republish the Call for Bids, revise or cancel the work, or require the work to be done in another way if the best interest of the City is served. The City of Sumner in accordance with Title VI ofthe Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally Assisted Programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award. The City of Sumner is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer and hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any Contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement disadvantaged business enterprises will be given the full opportunity to submit Bids in response to this invitation. The Successful Bidder will be required to conform to the wage requirements prescribed by the federal Davis-Bacon and Related Acts which requires that all laborers and mechanics employed by contractors and subcontractors performing on contracts funded in whole or in part by SRF appropriations in excess of $2,000 pay their laborers and mechanics not less than the prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits, and determined by the Secretary of Labor, for corresponding classes of laborers and mechanics employed on similar projects in the area These Contract Documents describe the Work in its entirety. The work includes the following: Installation of approximately 155 linear feet of stormwater conveyance and enhanced treatment, associated dewatering, construction shoring and restoration in the northeast corner of 142nd Ave E and 24th St and other work., all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. The Contractor will have 30 working days to complete the Work. The Engineer's estimated range for this project is between $350,000 and $400,000.
