Renovation of a theater / auditorium in Beverly Hills, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a theater / auditorium.

As of March 22, 2022, this project has been cancelled due to all bids rejected. No definite date for the rebid. The District reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals or parts of any Proposal and to waive any irregularities or informalities in any Proposal. No proposal may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of proposals. Each Proposer shall possess at the time this Vendor Contract is awarded a C-7 contractor's license and a C-10 contractor's license or a named subcontractor with this state license. The successful Proposer must maintain the licenses throughout the duration of this Vendor Contract. Pursuant to California Labor Code 1773, the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of California has determined the generally prevailing rates of wages in the locality in which the Work is to be performed. The Vendor and all Subcontractors performing any portion of the Work shall pay not less than the applicable prevailing wage rate for the classification of labor provide by their respective workers in prosecution and execution of the Work. A Vendor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to submit a Proposal, be listed in a Proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in the Labor Code, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. The Vendor and all subcontractors shall furnish certified payroll records as required pursuant to Labor Code section 1776 directly to the Department of Industrial Relations ("DIR") in accordance with Labor Code section 1771.4 on at least a monthly basis (or more frequently if required by the District or the DIR) and in a format prescribed by the DIR. Monitoring and enforcement of the prevailing wage laws and related requirements will be performed by the DIR/Labor Commissioner/Department of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE). Refer to SB854 and PWC100 (form) for further clarification. It is not necessarily BHUSD's intent to obtain the lowest possible cost, but rather the best possible value. BHUSD will make its selection after assessing the quality of the proposed products, services, performance reliability, standardization, lifecycle costs, delivery timetables, support logistics, manufacturer's warranties, as well as the cost of the products and services. The results of BHUSD's evaluation and ranking of the Vendor Proposals will be final. BHUSD may, after a finding is made by the governing board that a particular procurement qualifies under all requirements, authorize the procurement of the product through competitive negotiation. (Reference: Public Contract Code 20118.2). Pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 20118.2, the District is not required to award a contract to the lowest Proposer but rather will consider Proposals based on criteria established herein. An Award will be made to the responsive and responsible firm whose Proposal is viewed by the District as most advantageous to its program, considering all pricing and other pertinent factors. The Contract for the services, if awarded, will be by action of the District's Board of Education to the Bidder that meets the qualifications established by the RFP documents. This document is for informational purposes and shall not relieve the Bidder of the requirements to fully become familiarized with all the factors affecting the Proposal. All inquiries and clarifications about the RFP documents shall be submitted to the District no later than 2:00 p.m., November 9, 2022. Inquiries shall be made in writing to Gilda Keshishyan, Director of Purchasing, via email at GKeshishyan@bhusd.org. Verbal communication by either party with regard to this matter is invalid.
