The City is conducting this Request for Proposals for turnkey procurement and installation of an integrated warning system on at least three city-owned properties from a qualified contractor/vendor. The sirens shall have remote control capability. This project should be scalable in nature, due to funding and potential supply chain issues. The Scope of Work includes the provision of at least three Federal Signal 508-128 High Power, rotating, Unidirectional 500 Hz Outdoor Warning Sirens, installation of sirens on concrete pools on the specified locations and properly windstorm certified, provision of a remote system with field access, and programming of all sirens and remote systems. Provide training to designated City employees on operating and maintaining the warning system. The specific goals of the project include the following: o Provide for purchase of the Federal Signal 508, single-phase motor-driven siren capable of providing an estimated sound circle of 7,300 feet continuous and a sound level of 70dB and 14,700 feet at 60dB. o Provide access to control of sirens to the Angleton Police Department's dispatch office. o Program sirens and remote activation for multiple users and sound patterns. o Quote must be valid for 90 days or until delivery of sirens. Bids will be opened and evaluated at Angleton City Hall, 212 S. Velasco St., Angleton, TX 77515. In case of inclement weather or any other unforeseen event causing the City to close for business on the date of a proposal submission deadline, the closing will automatically be postponed until the next business day the City is open. If inclement weather conditions or any other unforeseen event causes delays in carrier service operations, the City may issue an addendum to all known vendors interested in the project to extend the deadline. It will be the responsibility of the vendor to notify the City of their interest in the project if these conditions are impacting their ability to turn in a submission within the stated deadline. The City reserves the right to make the final judgment call to extend any deadline.
