Site work and new construction of a pre-engineered storage facility in Holmdel, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.

The Township of Holmdel is only responsible for forwarding addendums or clarifications to those prospective bidders who obtained specifications directly from the Township of Holmdel, or to those who have put Holmdel Township on notice of having received the specifications. Proposers must be registered with the Division of Revenue, State of New Jersey for a Business Registration Certificate at the time of the award. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et. seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. The Township reserves the right to itself the right to reject any and all bids or waive informalities if deemed to be in the best interests of the Township. The Township of Holmdel will receive bids for a contract to provide equipment and operators to single-grind brush and leaves at owned transfer site, and transport and dispose of the resultant wood chip. The site is located on Cross Farm Park in the vicinity of Willowbook Road, Holmdel Township, Monmouth County, NJ (off Route 520). The bid price is to be inclusive of all cost for equipment and operators (tub grinder, front end loader and/or backhoe trucks and walk-in trailers or containers) that may be necessary to move the brush and leaves to and from the grinder, to single-grind the brush and leaves, to load the brush and leaves into trailers or containers for transport, as well as any costs associated with the disposal of brush and leaves. It will be the sole responsibility of the bidder to insure that there is no foreign debris mixed in with the brush and leaves prior to grinding. Once the brush and leaves are loaded onto the bidder's trailers, they become the property and responsibility of the bidder. The contractor will be paid based upon number of cubic yards of brush and leaves removed from the compost site, and verified in accordance with procedures established by the Director of Infrastructure & Operations. Scope of Work: Currently the Township of Holmdel operates a NJDEP Class C Facility (exempt with a 10,000 cubic yard maximum) The brush and leaves to be ground under this contract has been or is to be collected by the Township's DPW personnel, through its residential curbside collection program, and hauled to the Township's compost site. The contractor must arrange a grinding schedule, mutually agreed upon by the Director of Infrastructure & Operations that will keep the amount of brush and leaves on site to a reasonable level. Bidders should expect to be required to schedule grinding a minimum of two-three times, and a maximum of six (6) time per year during the term of the contract.
