This perpetuation project is a bridge rehabilitation project in Rock County. The two structures on the project are B-53-0104 (CTH Q over Rock River- 7-span, steel plate girder bridge built in 1972) and B-53-0172 (STH 81 over Rock River-- 6-span, 54" PSG bridge built in 1996) and they both cross the Rock River. Work on structure B-53-104 includes replacement of the deck, joint replacement, approach slab replacement, concrete surface repair, spot painting of girders, and street lighting. Work on B-53-172 includes Joint replacement, approach slab replacement, and concrete surface repair Consistent with FDM 8-1-1.2 the project is divided into two stages: 1) all effort through environmental document and associated preliminary engineering and 2) final design. Upon selection WisDOT will negotiate the first stage contract with the consultant. WisDOT may choose to negotiate the second stage contract with the selected consultant, or a new solicitation for final design may be advertised. The design services requested in this solicitation may, at the discretion of the department, include a separate contract to provide design clarifications to construction project engineers during construction. Advertised Fixed Fee %: 7.25 The fixed fee for this contract will apply an indirect cost factor of 150% to the consultant's estimated direct labor, regardless of the consultant's actual indirect rate.
