The City of Phoenix is seeking a qualified contractor to provide construction services for the project listed below. The project is part of the 2020 pedestrian and bicycle High Intensity Activated Crosswalk (HAWK) signal program to provide safe and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant pedestrian crossings. The improvements will include new ADA ramps and new HAWK signals. Signing and marking will be done by City staff. This project consists of the following six locations: Thomas Road and Dayton Street Buckeye Road and 16th Avenue Colter Street and 7th Avenue Osborn Road and 13th Avenue Peoria Avenue and 17th Avenue Virginia Avenue and 16th Street This is a federal-aid project. The prevailing basic hourly wage rates and fringe benefit payments, as determined by the Secretary of Labor pursuant to the provisions of the Davis-Bacon Act, shall be the minimum wages paid to the described classes of laborers and mechanics employed or working on the site to perform the contract. A Disadvantaged Business Enterprise goal of 6.85% percent has been established for this project. The City reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest responsible responsive bidder or all bids will be rejected, as soon as practicable after the date of opening bids.
