Site work and renovation of a civil project in Layton, Utah. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Construction of approximately 2.2 miles of 72-inch welded steel pipe (mortar lined, tape wrapped with an option for added exterior mortar coating). Portions of the alignment (DWCCC crossings, the US Highway 89 crossing, and a length within UDOT right-of-way) will include construction of select segments of a second 72-inch parallel pipe to aid future construction of a parallel pipeline. Excavation, backfill, grading, and site restoration along the pipeline alignment. Earthwork between stations 86+00 and 106+00 completed at least 7 months before construction of the steel pipe. Sequenced work for stream alteration work between Stations 3+50 and 7+50. Construction of approximately 400 linear feet of soil nail walls. Crossings of existing facilities including two locations of the Davis & Weber Counties Canal Company (DWCCC), US Highway 89, and miscellaneous utilities. The US Highway 89 crossing is approximately 400 linear feet, designed for open cut with the option for installation using trenchless methods. Installation of a cathodic protection system deep well anodes, rectifiers, and test stations Select demolition including a by-pass vault at the existing Bifurcation Structure and 400 feet of canal liner near the area 30 pumping station. Military Springs Pump Station, including installation of two 450 gpm vertical turbine pumps, a headwall, collection box, and flow meter vault. Connection to existing Bifurcation Structure, including new valve vault, a power supply upgrades, and replacement of existing gate actuators. Connection to the Davis North Water Treatment Plant via construction of the West Vent Structure. Area 30 Pump Station, including a new intake from the DWCCC canal, installation of one 14,000 gpm vertical turbine pump with space for two future pumps, two 100 gpm sump pumps, an electrical room, rest room, HVAC system, instrumentation and control systems, miscellaneous yard piping, and a fire alarm system. Associated items for the pumping station including valve vaults, flow meter vaults, and vent structures. Includes site fencing and landscaping around the facilities. Permitting for associated construction work such as dewatering, erosion control, traffic control, stormwater pollution prevention planning and implementation and temporary power. Federal facility permitting and funding requirements. Includes coordination with the local authorities having jurisdiction such as US Bureau of Reclamation, US Forest Service, Weber Basin Job Corps, Davis & Weber Counties Canal Company, UDOT, South Weber City, Layton City, and various private entities. Coordination of owner provided items. Compile cover sheet, proposal and any other correspondence in one single PDF file. The electronic file and cover sheet shall be identified as "Contractor Statement of Qualifications for Construction of the Davis Aqueduct Reach 1 Parallel Pipeline Project." One (1) electronic (PDF) copy of the Statement of Qualifications shall be submitted. Statements of Qualifications must be submitted by the date and time state above. Late submittals will not be accepted. It is strongly encouraged that the Contractor begin the upload process at least one hour prior to the deadline in the event that technical issues arise. Should technical issues arise, the Contractor shall contact the Project Manager at smcfarland@weberbasin.com. The Project Manager may allow submission of the electronic Statement of Qualifications by email if the technical issues cannot be resolved. In all cases, the Contractor bears the responsibility to ensure that the Statement of Qualifications is submitted by the deadline stated above. Statements of Qualifications should be well-organized and concise. Information contained in the Statements of Qualifications will be considered confidential and reasonable precautions will be taken to ensure the security of the documents. All Statements of Qualifications will become and remain the property of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to request a contractor to clarify any part of his statement. Response to such requests must be made in writing and will become part of the Statement of Qualifications. Unsolicited supplementary information and materials received after the deadline will not be considered in the evaluation. Contractors are advised that technical and contractual changes to the construction plans and specifications are anticipated prior to bidding. Prequalification will not exempt a contractor from meeting any of the requirements of the Contract Documents. The Contractor's Statement of Qualifications is not part of the Contract Documents
