1. The preserves listed in this document are public Forest Preserves and therefore the Contractor shall avoid all conflict with the public's use of the site during the execution of this Contract. The District may adjust specific maintenance schedules and regiments to provide a safe and open site for public use. 2. This Contract shall be in effect from April 1, 2023 to November 30, 2023. Start-up date for each season will be April 1st through November 30th. Pricing shall remain firm for the initial one-year term and each subsequent one-year optional extensions. 3. Weekly maintenance shall be performed on Wednesday through Friday with all work to be completed by noon on Friday unless weather conditions prevent completion. 4. The Contractor shall provide capable personnel, and proper, well maintained equipment for all mowing operations. All turf areas shall be policed for debris prior to each mowing. All such debris shall be removed and properly disposed of by the contractor. 5. All vehicles used in the execution of this Contract must be clearly identifiable. Off-road access by any vehicle must be approved by the District. 6. Any site photos provided by the District are for general purpose to familiarize the Contractor with the site. They shall not be used for scaling or to measure quantity. Acreage specified is estimated only. The Contractor shall fully inspect the site prior to submittal of bid. 7. The District may at any time, terminate this Contract in whole or in part by written, telephone, or verbal notice confirmed in writing if not satisfied with Contractor performance. A pre-bid conference will not be held for the project Any question and/or requests for clarifications must be submitted in writing to the Department of Purchasing no Later than 12/09/2022 11:00 AM, CST If any prospective Bidder is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the Bid Package, such prospective Bidder shall submit to Owner an email directed to Owner's Purchasing Department, purchasingdept@LCFPD.org The successful Bidder will be required to furnish certificates and policies of insurance as required by Section 4.2 of the Contract upon award of the Contract. Each Bidder's Proposal shall be accompanied by a letter from Bidder's insurance carrier or its agent certifying that said insurer has read the requirements set forth in the Contract and will issue the required certificates and policies of insurance upon award of the Contract to Bidder. If the required letter from your insurance carrier/agent is not submitted with your bid proposal, your bid proposal will be rejected.
