The City of Covington Fire Department is seeking professional design services for a feasibility study for property located at 9155 Highway 36, Covington, Georgia. The site is approximately 3 acres, and should accommodate two or three bays, a large training room, fitness room, bunk rooms, day room, and offices as required. This could be a single or two-story station. The feasibility study should, at a minimum, include stakeholder meetings, site analysis, concept block plans, exterior schematic design, and cost estimate for the development of an additional fire station The successful vendor product should meet the following criteria: Interview stakeholders on current space needs and understand department operations. Take inventory of required rooms and spaces to help determine overall square footage for cost estimation. Provide a site analysis providing plan concepts and evaluation of grade/topography issues. Develop a site plan including concept design including parking, drive aisles, sidewalks, and other site amenities. Develop room adjacency diagrams that respond to specific site layout (concept block plans). Conduct and exterior schematic design. Provide renderings for discussion and comment. Provide a cost estimate with an itemized expert opinion of probable costs The City reservesthe right to disqualify any bid that failsto provide information or data requested herein or that provides materially inaccurate or misleading information or data. The City reserves the right to disqualify any respondent based on any real or apparent conflict of interest disclosed by the proposals submitted or any other data available to the City. This disqualification is at the sole discretion of the City. By submission of a proposal hereunder, the proposer waives any right to object now or at any future time, before anybody or agency, including but not limited to, the City Council, or any court, as to the exercise by the City of such right to disqualify or as to any disqualification because of real or apparent conflict of interest determined by the City. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
