Site work, paving, outdoor lighting and new construction of a mixed-use development in Independence, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field.

The project includes, but is not limited to, removal of existing sports field fencing and lighting, clearing, grubbing, and tree removal, removal of pavements; construction of new ball fields including fencing, dugout covers, sports field lighting (coordinate with City-selected vendor), infields (soil mix base bid and synthetic turf alternate), and sodding; construction of soccer and multi-use field areas; construction of new concessions/restroom building and storage building; construction of new parking areas; site storm water, water, and electrical systems; construction of concrete walking/biking trails; providing and installing site furnishings including bleachers, dugout benches, and bleacher shade covers. All equipment, material and workmanship must be in accordance with the Bid Documents, Plans, Project Manual and Contract Documents on file with the City of Independence, KS at Independence, KS City Hall, 811 W. Laurel Street, Independence, Kansas 67301 All bidders shall visit the site prior to submitting bids. The owner reserves the right to waive any defects and informalities in Bids, to reject any or all Bids, to take any or all Bids under advisement, or to accept any Bid as may be deemed in its interest of meeting the standards of lowest responsible bid. Contractors shall submit Contractor's Qualification Statement, AIA Document A305-2020 with the sealed bid.
