Cyclical tree pruning is one of the actions the City takes to maintain its urban forest. This includes general elevation pruning to ensure proper clearance and visibility coupled with maintenance pruning to maintain the structure of all City boulevard trees. The Corporation of the City of Mississauga ("the City") is seeking the Services from up to four (4) qualified Bidders for tree pruning Services for a term ending December 2023. To be considered for any Contract award, the successful bidder(s) must: - Be readily available to undertake Contract requirements; - Have a minimum of five (5) years' experience within the last eight (8) years with contracts of similar scope and complexity; municipal contract experience required for Residential Pruning - Have a proven track record of providing continuous working crews and meeting established project schedules; - Have GPS units set up on each vehicle, capable of generating reports to be sent to Contract Manager as part of invoicing process; - Have multiple laptops or devices capable of running Microsoft Excel in conjunction with capable operators to detail field work; - Have staff (including administrative staff) and capacity to properly service and administer the Contract;Have staff with qualifications that comply with Section 6 of the Special Terms and Conditions of Contract; and - Must own or have exclusive use of at least two (2) aerial lifts; recommended telescopic or articulating aerial with a minimum range of 30 feet.
