As of October 2025, this project will start in January. All subcontractors must be prequalified. Construction has been delayed, and unlikely to begin prior to the summer of 2025. This project includes the renovation of the Engineering and Applied Sciences Building on University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) Main Campus. The current building square footage is approximately 70,019 GSF inclusive of 57,600 in GFA of which 39,921 is ASF. The Construction Manager/General Contractor (CMGC) shall work closely with the selected A/E firm throughout the completion of the design and construction phases to produce Contract Documents and deliverables per the requirements herein and as defined by the Office of the State Architect (OSA). The State reserves the right to reject any or all proposals on the basis of being unresponsive to this RFP or for failure to disclose requested information. Specific tasks to be performed by the Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) include those generally performed by the CM/GC construction community where the Construction Manager is also the Contractor. A sample copy of the State's CM/GC contract is contained within the RFP. A Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) will be required at the completion of Design Development phase. *This project has been awarded and all trades have been let.
