Issaquah seeks qualified consultants to provide expertise related to geo-hazard critical area reviews associated with implementing the Issaquah Municipal Code (IMC) Title 18. Work includes providing peer review of Critical Areas Reports prepared to support various land use and construction permits. Work also includes reviewing construction permits to ensure that the proposed engineering design meets adopted development and industry standards and considers Issaquah's unique geology. It is the firm's responsibility to develop and provide qualifications for the work as described. The firm will need to extrapolate from this scope additional tasks and actions needed to reach the desired services. The following scope includes, but are not limited to: 1. Review critical areas and geological studies and associated plans submitted in support of development proposals in Issaquah. 2. Review geologic hazard mitigation plans. 3. Review site and wall designs. 4. Review building designs. 5. Provide recommendations regarding conditions of approval and special considerations required during construction. 6. Attend public hearings or other meetings. 7. Provide construction support as needed. 8. Advise Issaquah in the capacity as a geology and geotechnical engineering expert. 9. Other tasks necessary to ensure safety and compliance with development regulations related to geologically hazardous areas and geotechnical designs.
