The City of Durham, North Carolina, General Services Department, is seeking a consulting firm to provide Site Survey Services for the Durham Station Transit Center Improvements Project. The City of Durham is undertaking a project to renovate the existing Durham Station Transit Center. The project scope consists of improvements to the bus island, including additional shade and weather protection through enhanced canopies, additional public restrooms, integrated seating, and a new customer service and security kiosk. The project scope also increases the number of bus bays from 20 to 28, allowing for increased transit service. The total project budget is $13,500,000, inclusive of design, survey, geotechnical engineering services, construction, owner costs and contingency. Survey services will require coordination with ongoing operations, as the site will continue to serve as an active transit center throughout design and construction. The City of Durham invites professional surveyors to submit qualifications and experience for consideration to provide surveying services for the Durham Station Transit Center project. Scope of Site Survey Services required are, but not limited to: Complete Boundary Survey for the parcel, Site and ROW Utility identification and location: Water, Natural Gas, Electrical, TELECOM, Sanitary Sewer, Topographic Survey for the parcel Any questions regarding this RFQ must be received in writing prior to 12:00 noon, Monday, December 5, 2022. Questions received after this date may not receive response. Questions should be directed to Shauna.Parker@durhamnc.gov. All written questions will be answered in an addendum posted on electronically. Questions received by the Department of General Services after this date will not receive a response or be the subject of addenda. Firms who are registered as interested firms will receive the addendum via email. Survey Team Selection and Notice of Intent to Award: December 2022 Notice to Proceed for Survey: January 2023 Survey Completion: March 2023 The design goals for this project are 8% M/UBE and 0% W/UBE. In accordance with the Ordinance, all proposers are required to provide information requested in the Professional Services Forms package included with this request (Appendix B). Proposals that do not contain the appropriate, completed Professional Services Forms may be deemed nonresponsive and ineligible for consideration. The UBE Participation Documentation and the Letter of Intent to Perform as a Sub-consultant documents are required of all proposers. The Request to Change UBE Participation and UBE Goals Not Met/Documentation of Good Faith Efforts forms are not applicable at this time.
