The Norm Wood Environmental Centre (NWEC) is undergoing some major capital facility upgrades to install updated critical treatment systems components. These upgrades generally consist of a new septage receiving station, a back emergency power system, a new programmable logic controller (PLC), a new blower and number of control system corrections. A new server-based Geo SCADA system and all the necessary programming for the new programmable logic controller to modernize the NWEC control systems. TIMELINE: Plans are complete. Tender and construction timelines are undetermined. Further update may be available in late fall 2025, upon budget approvals.
