The following scope of work involves an upgrade of all main lighting fixtures in the District Office in Yellowknife. The intent is to replace the lighting with new energy efficient LED fixtures to provide consistent lighting throughout the Building. Replace all surface-mounted and recessed fluorescent lighting fixtures in the building and two outside building plus 6 inside pot lights with equivalent LED fixtures (Pioneer R TB-12x48 attached in Appendix C or approved equivalent). Replace all hanging lights with similar style. Fixtures should be replaced on 1 for 1 basis in the District Office. Contractor to verify lighting counts on site. Provide a shop dwg package including lumen and CCT specifications to match the existing. Submission to be reviewed by client prior to ordering of fixtures Contractor to verify the absence of any lighting control. Fixtures provided by contractor to be compatible and functional to match existing lighting controls if and where applicable. Contractor to provide 5 extra fixtures of each type at the end of project to be used as spares. Contractor is responsible for repairs due to LEDs not fitting properly, ceiling tiles or grid not correct and original hole too large for new fixture. All rooms marked in red must have dimmable LED lights. Must have a dimmable switch installed for these rooms. All electrical work to be conducted in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code (latest edition), Nation Building Code of Canada (latest edition), GNWT Electrical Protection Act and the GNWT Good Building Practices for Northern Facilities.
